LV, short for Love is Vital, is a rising artist out of the DMV area. His music is a mix of 90’s flow sprinkled with the now. His mission is to bring his story and God’s way to the lost. LV believes that music is a power tool that can bring people together.

LV grew up in a musical family. His father was a musician and his mother was a poet. He was in church choirs all through his elementary school life. Even though his father was a trumpet player, LV was drawn to percussion. He taught himself the different rhythms and flows that could be done on the congas.

LV’s rap career started on the block with a cd player and some speakers. When he returned to God, it took a few years before he made an attempt to rap for him. His rap name, LV, stands for Love is Vital, and it comes from the fact that Jesus preached love and he accepts him as the way and the light.

LV’s music is built to help revive his city and bring his message to the lost. His creative process starts with the beat. If he can bop to it without a word being spoken then he knows it’s right. His lyrics come from his experience and he uses his musical influences to bring those words to life. He’s constantly tweaking his flow to make it just right and he doesn’t stick to one flow.

LV’s main inspiration is his wife and children. He wants to create a better world for his children to live in. He admires artists like Eminem, Jadakiss, Lecrae, Brenno, Yung Kriss, and Don Ready. His message to his fans is to spread the love.
