Matt Attack is a hip-hop artist from the DMV area. From a young age, he was always attracted to hip-hop music and spent much of his time writing poetry and experimenting with various forms of art. He was inspired by artists like Lil Wayne, Nas, 50 Cent, Eminem, 2pac, Mac Miller, Linkin Park, and Asher Roth, to name a few.

In 9th grade, Matt Attack began writing music and he found his sound around 2018. He started out by playing YouTube type beats and playing
with his words to develop his own unique cadence. Although he started out learning the trumpet in 5th-7th grade, he eventually switched to art and ceramics.

When asked to describe his music, Matt Attack says it is a combination of hip-hop, chill, old school hip-hop, trap-pop, and rap. His creative process is quite simple. He starts with writing a song and then
recording it. Once he has recorded it, he creates a music video and then the puzzle starts to come together. He is inspired by people who
help others and don’t gate keep, and he admires Nas as a musician and artist the most.

When asked about his fans, Matt Attack says they are down to earth, chill, funny, awesome, and loving people. He creates for himself but he also likes to figure out what his fans like too so he can give back
in return to the art of music itself. He prefers both listening to music and creating it, as he believes it is important to have a balance. He also believes that it is important to learn, study, and understand old music and music history in order to create the best
music possible.

During his time as an artist, Matt Attack has faced many obstacles such as not being consistent and staying focused, as well as not having enough time to balance his other obligations. However, he has never given up and always picks back up where he left off. He believes that the biggest problem in the music industry is that a lot of underground artists with good sound get overlooked. He is currently working on his mixtape with his homie KingDozaa and is also looking
for booking agents to help him with his upcoming performances.
